You Are Probably a Victim of the Largest Theft of All Time

I thought this video was going to be a fun top ten list, then I realized that most of the theft in America is the rich robbing the poor. Literally! Not even in a roudabout way…literally not paying them for more than twenty billion dollars of work every year. This literally theft. No one goes to jail. Ever. It’s cool. Don’t worry…we have a minimum wage…ish.

The folks who defend wage theft say that:

1. Minimum wages prevent certain work from getting done…like work done by undocumented immigrants and the very very poor. These people wouldn’t have jobs at all otherwise! The laws are too strict!

2. Most wage theft is just poor management. The companies don’t know it’s happening! It’s just the floor managers who are causing these problems! It’s not a CEO’s responsibility to know what their employees are up to! (that is exactly what their job is.)

3. It’s not as big of a deal as big fancy non-profits think!

It is, of course, extremely difficult to measure…but surveys of workers regularly show a huge variety of different kinds of wage theft. Worried you might be being stolen from?

How Mobile Homes Are Making Me Rich

“Ghetto” “Trailer Trash” all sorts of common stereotypes come to mind for some people when they think of mobile homes. But in reality, if done right, these can be little boxes of cash just waiting to be opened.

Common questions:

*Why wouldnā€™t the park just do what you did?* Some do! But most just want to own the land and collect the lot rent. They arenā€™t in the business of remodeling and selling. Theyā€™re land owners that want passive income.

*Why wouldnā€™t the buyers just go get a mortgage?* Since mobile homes are considered personal property rather than real estate, they donā€™t qualify for a traditional mortgage. In short, banks donā€™t lend on them. The value is in the land (real estate) underneath of the mobile home, which is owned by the park.

*Why doesnā€™t the buyer just pay cash?* They are certainly welcome to, and some do that. But most people that are looking to live in mobile/manufactured housing donā€™t have $15,000+ to do that with.

*Do you only buy directly from parks?* No, but these are usually the best deals. Most individual owners of mobile homes have a sense of pride about their home (which is good), and they also have sentimental value in their home (again..understandable) but these things create logical pricing challenges when it comes time to purchase their homes. They usually resist the fact that mobile homes actually depreciate rather than appreciate like traditional site-built real estate.

*If you do buy from a private individual homeowner, how do you buy them cheap?* Iā€™ve only seen homes for 20K+ You have to find a motivated seller, and by that I mean, either they have to leave the state for a job, they inherited the home, they donā€™t have enough money to keep the home, whatever it may be. Also, you may live in a price inflated area (coastal cities) so it makes sense to drive an hour or so inland to find reasonable priced deals.

*Arenā€™t these homes in ghetto or bad areas?* How do you find good buyers? Among investors, parks are rated on a ā€œstar systemā€. 1 star is the bad parks that people usually imagine, (broken windows, graffiti, clear signs of gang activity)ā€¦ I donā€™t buy homes in 1 star parks. On the other end of the spectrum, the 5 star parks are the ones you see on a beautiful California coast that is full of retirees and well maintained yards. These mobile homes are outrageously priced because of the location, not the home itself..I donā€™t buy in those parks either. I buy in 2-4 star parks.

Now you see it – now you don’t. The documentary, the root cause, was quietly taken down from Netflix, and other platforms. Quietly is the word that we use to see it go from Netflix, but I’m sure the American Dental Association was not quiet in their condemnation in legal threats against Netflix and other platforms that were showing the documentary. The American Dental Association, Ada, American Association of endodontist and American Dental research Association said take it down so they took it down immediately. If there was really something wrong with this documentary they should have refuted the facts. They should have ridiculed it. They should have shown where the documentary was wrong. Instead they just demanded it be taken down. Pretty fishy. The Ada is the same organization that gives us fluoride in our drinking water whether we want it or not and then tells us it’s great for us. This is the same organization that tells us that mercury fillings are okay to put into are teeth in our mouths and yet it is listed as a hazard by the FDA so the Ada no longer endorse is it. The health information Nazis have reared their ugly heads and they won this time.

NetflixĀ began carrying the film 1 January 2019, and it soon met opposition from the American Dental Association (ADA), American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and American Association of Dental Research (AADR).

In a letter dated 29 January, the ADA, AAE and AADR wrote that continuing to host the film on their platform couldĀ harm the viewing publicĀ by spreading misinformation about safe medical treatments like root canals.
hese associations also sent similar letters to Apple, Amazon and Vimeo, which also carried the film. As of this publication date, the film is still available for purchase or streaming on these three sites.
